Well, well, well! Lookie here! [As];;o n e has managed to get her computer to behave to such a point where she can begin making site images once more! What a shocker, no? Aside from fixing up side-table images, she's also got some more plans in the works for the site. This may require The Cellar Door to go down into maintancence mode for a short while, let's hope it doesn't have to go down at all! There will be some new shiny categories and even shinier boards. Be sure to keep checking in!
Again, from the previous news, the new submission guidelines will not take effect until further notice. Please stay tuned!

Well, The Cellar Door may be under construction for a longer time than was originally anticipated. [As];;o n e's laptop finally kicked the bucket, scuttled off of its mortal coil and gone to sing with the bleeding choir invisible, and thus, all of her work with the site's graphics has gone with it. It's not like we never saw it coming but still, it's rather distressing to say the least. So for those of you new to The Cellar Door, please excuse the altogether unfinished look of the site. We're also unsure of how long it may take to replace her hard drive, wish us luck!

The Cellar Door is back up and running! You can probably tell that there are some things still under construction for the new version, but everything's functional and ready! If you haven't guessed, the new version is "Because the Sky is Blue" so please remember to change your active skin from your profile! Also, the new change in submission guidelines will not take effect for a few more weeks; we can't critique and comment works that aren't here, now can we?

So what you do is you take a word or phrase (something that has been floating around your mind, or if you don't have one of those, open up a dictionary to a random page, and point your finger at a random word, go to http://www.thefreedictionary.com/ and use the word of the day or go on wikipedia and hit random article (although using the article name might be a bit more of a challenge, i' m not sure)) Once you have this, open up whatever you use to play music, and hit shuffle. The first song that comes up will be what you use as inspiration. Listen to the song, and see what comes to mind story wise. Write a story based on the song, but make sure that the phrase/word that you picked is used at least once in the story. Be sure it makes sense! Then post the story in the prose section.

I'm not sure but it sounds good. I've been wanting to use the phrase "doe-eyed" in a story or poem all day and haven't had anything coming to mind so I came up with this. For my first story, the phrase will be "doe-eyed" and the song is "Rebel Yell" by Billy Idol. this will be. . . interesting, lol. Feel free to do this if you think it is a good idea!

I was tossing that idea about to myself a little while ago but it kind of dissipated as it was beaten down by school *glares menacingly* but I for one really like that idea. Perhaps we could make a special board for it because someone may write it as poetry instead? *ponders* I wish you luck and I look forward to reading it!
And for the great idea, you get a wonderful cookie of your choice.

yeah i was thinking poetry would work for it too. i was gonna edit it and add poetry to the last part but I forgot, lol

It's all goodly, I actually went and added a board so things wouldn't get all cluttered and the like lol.
